The Cathedral Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 11am to 5pm. Both the museum and the cathedral foyer, including the toilets, are barrier-free.

  • Tuesday to Sunday 11-17 h
  • Monday closed (except public holidays)

The Cathedral Museum is closed on 24 December and 31 December.

admission fee

  • Adults: 7 euros per person
  • Persons up to 25 years: free admission 
  • Groups of 10 or more people, students, holders of disabled or social ID cards: 5 euros per person

Holders of the Volksbank Hildesheimer Börde culture card or Girocard also receive a discount.

On special days, on the 1st Tuesday of the month, all visitors are admitted free of charge.

Free admission with the Hannover Museum Card

The MuseumsCard offers one year of free admission to museums and exhibition venues, including special exhibitions, and entitles you to multiple visits to each of the participating institutions. It is valid for twelve months from the date of issue. The MuseumsCard costs €60. 

With the additional family option for €8, up to three children under the age of 17 can be taken to the museums.
